With a track record of technical excellence and more than 60 years of international development experience and relationships, we deliver innovative solutions that transform lives.The RoleThe Research Analyst (RA) will work as an integral part of the Labour and Skills team in providing policy analysis and advisory in labour, green skills and employment, digital skills, female labour force participation, and other related analysis.The RA is expected to conduct research and data and policy analysis to support the preparation of analytical outputs of Breakthrough 1.3 Labour and Skills in areas related to labour productivity improvement and skills development. Strong research skills, both quantitative and qualitative are essential. Any policy research experience is a plus. This role also requires team skills in working together towards shared objectives, including through cross-team collaboration with other teams.Click on the link below or copy paste it to access the full Terms of Reference for this position:About YouThe ideal candidate will possess strong qualifications and experience as follows:
- Tertiary qualifications in economics, labour economics, development economics and/or a related discipline are essential. Post-graduate qualifications in economics or other relevant fields are preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years’ professional experience working on economic and labour issues. Knowledge or experience working on labour and skills, in particular green skills is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with databases in labour areas (such as Sakernas and IFLS) and occupation classifications (such as KBJI, ESCO, and O*NET) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct or contribute to policy research and analysis, including those using quantitative methods.
- Strong quantitative and advance econometric skill is highly preferred. Computing proficiency with competency in the use of Microsoft products as well as relevant software packages such as STATA, R, Python, etc. is highly desirable.
- Experience in preparing policy reports, working papers, briefs, presentations, etc.
- Knowledge of and experience working on issues in the Indonesian economy and its labour market.
- Experience working with Indonesian policymakers is an advantage.
- Good written communication skills with fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (both written and oral), including advocacy and presentation skills.
- Strong skills in data visualization are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated relationship management skills with different stakeholders, including government stakeholders desirable.
Remuneration
The remuneration will be set according to National Remuneration Framework Group C, Job Level 1. The remuneration level at which the position is engaged will be based on the successful candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
