By applying through this opening, you are applying specifically for the role of Infosec & Compliance Intern – Technical:Job Description:Assist in the implementation and monitoring of security measures to protect information systems.Support the configuration and management of security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software).Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks and standards such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO27001, and NIST.Assist in the development and maintenance of internal tools to automate and enhance security operations.Write scripts and basic programs to support data analysis, security monitoring, and compliance reporting.Document development processes and provide training for team members on new tools and functionalitiesQualifications:Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferredPassionate and interested in Information TechnologyFamiliarity with governance or security standards like COBIT, ITIL, ISO27001, and NIST is advantageousHardworking, highly accountable, and reliableKnowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.Basic understanding of network security, encryption technologies, and incident response.Experience with basic programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for tool developmentPrefer full-time interns for a 3-month durationNice to have:Ability to develop automation for day to day work (python or any other scripting language)Good luck and we hope you make it to the Next Level of your journey with Mekari!Mekari Next Level Internship Program: Pick Your Team, Pave Your Way
